Our Adoption Policy
BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITIES: The Buyer is responsible for providing for the puppy / dog a comfortable and safe environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming, socialization, and responsible care. This includes keeping this puppy / dog parasite-free and up-to-date with immunizations, proper nutrition, and fresh water available at all times. Contact with unfamiliar dogs and puppies should be restricted until the puppy has received a complete three-shot series of immunizations. Puppy training and obedience training classes are recommended for a happy relationship between the dog and family.
BREEDERS (SELLERS)' RESPONSIBILITIES: The Breeders-Sellers, to the best of their knowledge, attest that this puppy / dog is of sound health and temperament at the time of sale. A health record of all shots, worming, and other treatments will be provided. Puppies may be micro-chipped prior to adoption to identify them and facilitate their return, in case of loss or theft. Should a licensed veterinarian determine, within 72 hours of the sale, that this puppy / dog is in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Breeders (Sellers), the dog may, upon signed written diagnosis from said veterinarian, be returned for refund of the purchase price. No other guarantees are given.
FINDING NEW HOME: If at any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of this dog, the Breeders / Sellers may resume ownership of the dog in order for the Breeder / Seller to locate this dog a new home, as long as the dog is returned with AKC and/or CKC papers (if applicable) and medical records. Refunds, if any, will be at the discretion of the Breeder / Seller.
BREEDERS’ (SELLERS’) DISCLOSURE
(PROS AND CONS OF HUSKY OWNERSHIP): Siberian Huskies are an exceptionally energetic breed of dogs. Huskies need daily exercise and consistent training from their early puppy days throughout adult hood. Huskies shed their undercoat twice a year. They also require a secure, fenced area with ample space to run. Siberian Huskies love to dig holes in the garden or under the fence. Huskies are sometimes called "Houdini dogs" because of their ability to escape from fenced areas. Huskies are excellent predators. Small animals, such as birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and CATS, are NOT SAFE with Huskies. Our Huskies and their puppies are pets; we do not guarantee their suitability as breeding animals.
With people, Siberian Huskies are friendly and outgoing. They need to be taught their place in the family---or they may think that they, not humans, are the leaders of the "pack." Siberian Huskies are not always quiet. They love to howl and "serenade" you AND your neighbors.
These high-energy Siberian Huskies are not the easiest breed to keep, but we're hooked on Huskies. Our family wouldn't want to be without them.
